Clean water projects
transforming lives across Africa
Working in close partnership with Lifewater UK, the Transformed International team has seen numerous African communities transformed by providing them with a first opportunity for clean and safe drinking water.
Lifewater projects are currently being undertaken in rural communities across Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda, and also in two Refugee Settlements in Northern and Western Uganda. Household water treatment systems (HWTS) are donated and set up in homes, schools and health centres across these communities, many of which would not have a hope in many years of access to sustainable clean and safe water.

Typhoid was a big challenge in my home but due to Lifewater my family has never suffered such a problem. Thankyou Lifewater!

My family has not fallen sick from typhoid since I got the Lifewater kit and understand how to use it and keep it clean.

“
I attribute my long life to God and to the clean water I am now taking. This is because I used to be so sickly before receiving the Lifewater kit.

No incidences of water-borne diseases
Often Transformed International receives testimonies of improved health and better educational achievements through having access to clean and safe drinking water. On several occasions we have heard it said that since receiving Lifewater systems in a village there have been no recorded incidences of water-borne diseases!
National Lifewater teams, working closely with Transformed International, are involved in every stage of a Lifewater project – from organising and running local training workshops to ongoing monitoring and reporting. The result of this involvement is a high level of sustainability across the projects.

Sponsor a Lifewater system
Sponsoring a Lifewater system costs just UK£45. In a school situation this provides clean and safe drinking water for up to 100 children and staff for a whole year before the filter needs to be replaced (UK£10). In a typical family home, the system will last for two years before the filter needs to be replaced. To find out more about Lifewater UK, please visit the Lifewater website.
